At the same time, AI can introduce inaccuracies, fabricated information, bias, copyright concerns and other editorial risks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This AI Policy explains how VietnamHub may use artificial intelligence and the principles that govern its use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>1. Our Principle<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>AI may assist journalism and publishing, but it does not replace editorial responsibility.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">VietnamHub remains responsible for the accuracy, fairness, context, originality and integrity of content published under the VietnamHub name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AI-generated or AI-assisted material is not considered automatically reliable. Human review is required whenever AI is used in a way that may affect factual claims, interpretation, public understanding or editorial judgment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2. How VietnamHub May Use AI<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">VietnamHub may use AI tools for legitimate editorial and operational purposes, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Research assistance and information discovery<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Summarizing publicly available information<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Generating research questions and article outlines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Language translation and localization<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Grammar, spelling and style assistance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Headline and metadata suggestions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>SEO assistance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Data organization and analysis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transcription and speech-to-text processing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Accessibility and content-formatting assistance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Image, illustration or graphic ideation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Video and multimedia production assistance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Internal workflow automation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Technical development and programming assistance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The specific tools used may change as technology evolves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>3. Human Editorial Oversight<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AI does not have final editorial authority at VietnamHub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before publication, AI-assisted material may be reviewed for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Factual accuracy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Source reliability<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Context and completeness<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Potential bias<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Misleading or unsupported claims<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Language and meaning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Copyright and intellectual-property concerns<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Privacy and personal-data risks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Potential harm to individuals or communities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Editors and contributors remain responsible for the final published work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>4. AI-Generated Facts and Claims<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">VietnamHub does not treat an AI system\u2019s output as a primary source of fact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AI systems can produce inaccurate, outdated, incomplete or fabricated information. Therefore, important factual claims generated or suggested by AI should be independently verified against reliable sources whenever reasonably possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For significant stories, VietnamHub may consult:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Official government sources<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Public records<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Academic and research institutions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>International organizations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Primary documents<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Direct statements from relevant individuals or organizations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reputable news organizations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other authoritative sources appropriate to the subject<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our approach to sourcing and verification is described in the <strong>Sources &amp; Methodology<\/strong> and <strong>Fact Check<\/strong> sections of VietnamHub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>5. AI and Original Journalism<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AI assistance does not by itself constitute original journalism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">VietnamHub seeks to add human editorial value through:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Independent research<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verification<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Context<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Analysis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reporting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Editorial judgment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Original writing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clear attribution of sources<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Where AI is used primarily as a production aid, the final publication remains subject to the same editorial standards as other VietnamHub content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>6. Disclosure of AI Use<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">VietnamHub may disclose significant AI assistance when transparency would materially help readers understand how a piece of content was produced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Disclosure may be appropriate when AI has been substantially involved in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Generating a published article or major section of an article<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creating or materially transforming images<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Producing audio or video<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Generating translations that are published without extensive human rewriting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creating synthetic or reconstructed representations of people, events or places<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Routine uses of AI for spelling, grammar, formatting, brainstorming or other minor editorial assistance may not require individual disclosure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">VietnamHub may update its disclosure practices as AI technology and industry standards develop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>7. AI-Generated Images and Media<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AI-generated or AI-manipulated visual content must not be presented in a manner that intentionally deceives readers about real events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When appropriate, VietnamHub may label content as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>AI-generated<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">or<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>AI-assisted<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AI-generated imagery should not be used to fabricate documentary evidence or falsely represent a real person, location, event or situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When an illustrative image is used rather than a documentary photograph, VietnamHub may identify it as an illustration where necessary to avoid confusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>8. Synthetic People, Voices and Events<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">VietnamHub will exercise particular caution with synthetic representations of real people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AI-generated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Faces<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Voices<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Quotes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interviews<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Statements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Events<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Photographs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Video footage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">must not be presented as authentic material when they are not authentic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">VietnamHub will not knowingly use synthetic media to falsely attribute statements or actions to a real person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>9. AI Translations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">VietnamHub may use AI-assisted translation to make information available to international audiences, including English-language editions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Translations are treated as editorial content and may require human review, particularly for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Names<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Historical terminology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Legal terminology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cultural references<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Political terminology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Technical subjects<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Statements and quotations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Where a translation contains an error, VietnamHub may correct it in accordance with its <strong>Corrections<\/strong> policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>10. AI and Quotations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AI systems must not be used to invent quotations and present them as statements made by real people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A quotation published by VietnamHub should be traceable to an appropriate source, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A recorded interview<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An official statement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A published document<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A verified transcript<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A reliable primary or secondary source<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AI may assist with transcription or translation, but it must not create fictional quotations that are presented as genuine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>11. Privacy and Personal Data<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">VietnamHub takes reasonable precautions when using AI systems that process information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sensitive personal information should not be submitted to AI systems unnecessarily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">VietnamHub will consider:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Privacy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Data minimization<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confidentiality<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Security<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consent<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicable legal requirements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">when determining whether information may appropriately be processed using an AI tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>12. Confidential Sources<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Confidential source identities must be protected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">VietnamHub should not disclose identifying information about confidential sources to an AI system unless there is a legitimate, appropriate and adequately protected reason to do so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The use of AI must never compromise a source\u2019s safety or confidentiality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>13. Copyright and Intellectual Property<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">VietnamHub respects copyright and other intellectual-property rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AI tools may assist with editorial work, but their use does not remove the obligation to respect:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Copyright<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Licensing terms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attribution requirements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Moral rights<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trademarks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Database rights<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other applicable intellectual-property protections<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">VietnamHub will make reasonable efforts to avoid publishing AI-generated material that improperly reproduces protected works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>14. Bias and Fairness<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AI systems may reproduce or amplify biases contained in their training data or other underlying systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">VietnamHub therefore does not assume that AI-generated information is neutral or unbiased.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Editors should consider whether AI-assisted material may contain:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cultural bias<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gender bias<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Political bias<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Geographic bias<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stereotyping<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unequal representation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Misleading framing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Human editorial judgment remains essential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>15. AI in News and Public-Interest Reporting<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For sensitive subjects, AI assistance requires additional caution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This may include reporting involving:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Elections and politics<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>War and conflict<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Public safety<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Health<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Law and criminal allegations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Financial markets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Children<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vulnerable communities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>National security<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Breaking news<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In such cases, VietnamHub may require stronger verification and additional human review before publication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>16. AI and Editorial Independence<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AI tools must not determine VietnamHub\u2019s editorial position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Commercial AI providers, automated recommendation systems or algorithmic outputs do not control:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What VietnamHub publishes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What VietnamHub investigates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Editorial conclusions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>News priorities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Corrections<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fact-checking decisions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Editorial decisions remain the responsibility of VietnamHub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>17. AI-Assisted Content vs. AI-Generated Content<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">VietnamHub distinguishes, where useful, between:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>AI-assisted content<\/strong><br>Content substantially created or researched by humans with AI used as a supporting tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>AI-generated content<\/strong><br>Content in which AI has produced a substantial portion of the published material.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The distinction may be disclosed when it is materially relevant to readers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>18. Corrections and Accountability<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If AI contributes to an error in published content, VietnamHub remains responsible for correcting the error.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AI involvement is not an excuse for inaccurate reporting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Corrections may be made in accordance with the VietnamHub <strong>Corrections<\/strong> policy, including correction of factual errors, misleading information, inaccurate translations or improperly attributed material.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>19. Continuous Review<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AI technology develops rapidly. VietnamHub will periodically review this policy and may update it to reflect:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>New AI capabilities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Emerging risks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Changes in journalism standards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Changes in applicable law<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>New industry practices<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lessons learned from editorial experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The latest version published on the VietnamHub website represents the current policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>20.
