Our Commitment to Accuracy
VietnamHub is committed to accuracy, transparency, and accountability.
We recognize that mistakes can occur in journalism and editorial work. When we identify a factual error, misleading statement, omission, or other significant inaccuracy, we aim to correct it promptly and clearly.
Our corrections policy is part of our commitment to maintaining public trust and providing readers with reliable information.
What We Correct
VietnamHub may issue a correction when published content contains:
- Incorrect factual information
- Inaccurate names, dates, locations, figures, or quotations
- Misleading or materially incomplete information
- Incorrect attribution
- Significant translation errors
- Errors in captions, headlines, graphics, or other published elements
- Information that has subsequently been demonstrated to be materially incorrect
Minor spelling, punctuation, formatting, or stylistic errors that do not affect the meaning of an article may be corrected without a formal correction notice.
How Corrections Are Made
When a significant error is confirmed, VietnamHub may:
- Correct the original article or published material.
- Add a correction notice when appropriate.
- Clearly describe the nature of the correction.
- Preserve the integrity of the original reporting wherever possible.
- Update relevant headlines, captions, metadata, translations, or related material when necessary.
We do not silently alter substantive factual information in a way that could mislead readers about what was originally published.
Corrections and Updates
A correction addresses an error in previously published information.
An update provides new or additional information that became available after publication.
When appropriate, VietnamHub may distinguish between a Correction, Update, Clarification, and Editor’s Note so that readers can understand why a published article has been changed.
Reader Requests
Readers who believe that a VietnamHub article contains a factual error are encouraged to contact us.
A correction request should, where possible, include:
- The title or URL of the article
- The specific statement believed to be incorrect
- An explanation of the alleged error
- Reliable supporting evidence or sources
- Contact information for follow-up, if necessary
VietnamHub reviews correction requests based on evidence and editorial standards. A request for a correction does not automatically result in a change to published content.
Editorial Independence
VietnamHub does not change accurate reporting merely because an individual, organization, company, institution, or public figure disagrees with its content.
Corrections are based on evidence, accuracy, and editorial judgment—not on pressure, popularity, political influence, commercial interests, or requests to remove unfavorable but accurate information.
Corrections in Translated Content
VietnamHub may publish content in both Vietnamese and English.
When an error appears in a translated version, we will correct the affected language version and, when necessary, review the corresponding original version to ensure that the information remains consistent.
Transparency
For significant corrections, VietnamHub seeks to provide enough information for readers to understand:
- What was incorrect
- What has been corrected
- When the correction was made
- Why the correction was necessary, when relevant
Our goal is not to claim that journalism is error-free. Our goal is to demonstrate that when errors occur, they are addressed responsibly and transparently.
