Independent editorial work. Responsible journalism. A Vietnamese perspective for the world.
VietnamHub is an independent digital publication focused on Vietnam, its people, culture, technology, economy, and place in the world.
Our editorial work is guided by accuracy, fairness, transparency, context, and respect for readers. We aim to provide information that is useful not only to Vietnamese audiences, but also to international readers seeking a deeper understanding of Vietnam.

VietnamHub operates with a streamlined editorial structure designed for a digital publication.
Founder & Editor
Vũ Thành Trung
Founder and Editor of VietnamHub.
The Founder & Editor oversees the publication’s editorial direction, content standards, major projects, editorial policies, and overall quality of published material.
Editorial Responsibilities
The VietnamHub Editorial Team may perform several functions throughout the publishing process, including:
Research
We research subjects using publicly available information, official documents, reputable publications, academic materials, expert sources, and other relevant evidence.
Reporting & Analysis
We develop articles that explain events, trends, ideas, and issues affecting Vietnam and the wider world.
Editing
Content is reviewed for clarity, accuracy, structure, language, context, and consistency with VietnamHub’s editorial standards.
Fact-Checking
Important factual claims may be independently checked against reliable sources before publication.
For further information, see our VietnamHub Fact Check policy.
Translation
Selected Vietnamese content may be translated into English to make information about Vietnam more accessible to international readers.
Translations are reviewed for meaning, context, and readability rather than being treated as simple word-for-word conversions.
Editorial Independence
VietnamHub seeks to maintain a clear separation between editorial decisions and commercial interests.
Editorial content should not be altered solely because of advertising, sponsorship, partnerships, personal relationships, or commercial considerations.
Sponsored or promotional material, where applicable, should be clearly identified.
Our editorial principles are established in the Editorial Policy and Editorial Charter.
Accuracy & Verification
Accuracy is one of VietnamHub’s fundamental editorial principles.
Depending on the nature of a story, our editorial process may include:
- Identifying the original source.
- Comparing information across multiple reliable sources.
- Checking dates, names, numbers, locations, and quotations.
- Distinguishing verified facts from analysis or interpretation.
- Identifying uncertainty where reliable evidence is incomplete.
- Updating published information when significant errors are discovered.
We do not consider the publication of an article to be the end of the editorial process.
When necessary, articles may be updated, corrected, or clarified.
Sources
VietnamHub may use a broad range of sources, including:
- Government agencies and official institutions
- International organizations
- Academic and research institutions
- Primary documents and official records
- Reputable domestic and international news organizations
- Public statements and verified datasets
- Interviews and expert commentary
- Publicly available research and reports
Where appropriate, sources are identified or linked so that readers can independently evaluate important information.
Corrections
VietnamHub is committed to correcting significant factual errors.
If an error is identified, we may:
- Correct the relevant information.
- Add clarification where necessary.
- Update the article.
- Add a correction or editor’s note for significant errors.
- Review related content when the error could affect other published material.
Readers can report potential errors through our Corrections page or Contact channel.
Artificial Intelligence
VietnamHub recognizes that artificial intelligence can assist modern editorial work while also creating new risks.
AI tools may be used for limited editorial-support functions such as:
- Research assistance
- Translation assistance
- Language editing
- Structuring information
- Brainstorming
- Metadata and tagging
- Technical or production tasks
However, AI-generated material should not automatically be treated as fact.
Human editorial judgment remains responsible for the final published content.
AI tools must not replace appropriate verification, source evaluation, or editorial accountability.
For more information, see our AI Policy.
Editorial Standards
VietnamHub’s editorial work is guided by several core principles:
Accuracy
We strive to publish information that is factually reliable and appropriately sourced.
Independence
Editorial decisions should be made according to journalistic and editorial considerations.
Fairness
We seek to represent relevant perspectives accurately and avoid misleading presentation.
Transparency
We explain our editorial methods and acknowledge significant corrections when necessary.
Context
Facts should be presented with enough context to help readers understand their significance.
Respect
We avoid unnecessary sensationalism, harassment, discrimination, or dehumanizing language.
Accountability
We accept responsibility for the information we publish and provide channels for feedback and corrections.
Vietnam & The World
VietnamHub’s editorial perspective is rooted in Vietnam while maintaining an international outlook.
We believe Vietnam should be understood not only through individual events, but also through its history, culture, people, economy, technology, environment, and relationships with the wider world.
Our English-language publication therefore seeks to make Vietnamese perspectives and stories more accessible to international readers.
A Small Editorial Team, A Broad Mission
VietnamHub is designed as a focused digital newsroom rather than a large traditional media organization.
A small editorial operation does not reduce our responsibility to readers.
Instead, it requires clear standards, careful research, transparent methods, and disciplined editorial judgment.
Our ambition is to build trust through the quality and consistency of our work.
